Labor Doula

PRENATAL SUPPORT

Support begins once the contract is signed. I am available to you via phone/ text/ e-mail to discuss your pregnancy progress, answer questions, discuss medical appointments, know what questions to ask providers, provide emotional support, discuss tips & tricks, & provide helpful resources.

Prenatal Visit: I will come to your home around 34-36 weeks gestation to answer questions and assist in developing a birth plan for you to present to your medical provider. During this time, we will also discuss ways to prepare for labor as well as expectations for early labor including positions and ways to cope with early contractions.

 LABOR SUPPORT

I will be on-call 24/7 2 weeks prior to and 2 weeks after your estimated due date. When you are ready for me to join you in-person, I will remain with you through the entirety of the labor and birth, as well as assist with baby’s first feed.

 POSTPARTUM VISIT

Within the first week of you returning home after the birth, I will once again come to your home for a postpartum visit to discuss the birth, answer questions, help with breastfeeding, and prepare you for the postpartum period.

Placenta Encapsulation

Ingesting the placenta is an ancient practice that is said to increase milk production, decrease healing time, decrease postpartum bleeding, increase energy levels, balance hormone levels, and even decrease the likelihood and/or intensity of postpartum depression. Placenta encapsulation makes this simple by taking your professionally prepared placenta pills.

I am a Blood-Borne Pathogens Certified, State Food Safety Handler Certified, Midwifery Institute Certified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist who will take expert care of your placenta.

Placenta Encapsulation Package $300
